General Preferences
In SEE Finance's general preferences you can set some general options for the program.
General Preferences:
Software Updates:
- "Check for Updates" - Program automatically checks for new updates.
- "Check for Updates Manually" - User must manually check for updates.
Autosaving
- "Use Autosaving" - Allow the program to autosave files.
- "Frequency (Seconds)" - The number of seconds the program will save a file following new changes.
File Backup:
- "Automatically Backup Files When Quitting or Close" - Allow the program to make file backups when closing the program or file.
- "Keep the Last X Backup Files" - The number of backups to keep of each file.
- "Keep a Maximum of One Backup Per Day" - Whether or not to keep only the most recent backup when multiple backups are created in the same day.
- "Backup Location" - The designated backup file folder location for the program.
- "View File Backups in Finder" - Will open a Finder window showing the backups created by the program.
***Note: Automatic file backups will only occur if a file has been edited and the edited file is not a file backup.***
Account List:
- "Display Account Balances in Account List" - Whether or not the main Account List displays account balances.
Edit & Info Boxes:
- "Always Show Edit & Info Boxes" - Whether or not the "Edit and "Info" are always initially displayed in the program.
Search Bar:
- "Always Show Search Bar in Accounts" - Whether or not the search bar is always displayed in account Transaction views.
Reset User Defaults:
- "Reset Saved Table Column Information" - Reset only the saved column information throughout the program to the defaults.
- "Reset All User Defaults:" - Reset all the stored preferences to their initial defaults.
