Using Direct Connect Account Downloads is usually a quick and simple process, but issues can arise. The following is some general info to help update existing Direct Connect Connections for your accounts.

Updating Stored Login Credentials for Account Direct Connect Connections

You can update an existing account's login credentials for Direct Connect downloads by following the steps below:

  1. Select the account you want to update Direct Connect login credentials for from the Account List.
  2. Select "Download Transactions" from the Accounts menu.
  3. Select the Account from the "Account(s)" pop-up list.
  4. Update the "ID/User Name", "PIN/Password", and "Account Number" for the accounts as needed.
  5. Select to "Store Credentials in Apple Keychain" in order to store the new login credentials.
  6. Proceed with the transaction download and if successful the new login credentials will be stored.

Checking & Updating General Connection Information for Institutions

Checking & Updating General Connection Information for Institutions You can check and update the general connection information for institutions you are connecting to using Direct Connect downloads by following the steps below:

  1. Select "Check/Update Connections" from the Accounts menu.
  2. Select the "Check" button and the program will check the the general connection information for the institutions accounts are currently setup to connect to using Direct Connect downloads.
  3. Review the "Status" and "Note" for each institution. You can refer to our Direct Connect Setup FAQs Page for general troubleshooting information and for Common Direct Connect Download Errors.
  4. Connection "Note" information:

    • "Success - Connection information is current." - Connection was successfully made. Nothing was updated for this institution's connection.
    • "Success - Updated information for connection." - Connection was successfully made. Information for the institution's connection was updated due to new information being available.
    • "Error - X" - An error occurred when attempting to access this institution's server. Please check for this error on the Common Direct Connect Download Errors page for further information. If the problem persists please contact SEE Finance Email Support and let us know the institution involved so we can check the connection.
    • "Unavailable" - There is not currently information available for this institution connection. Please contact SEE Finance Email Support and let us know the institution involved so we can check into this institution's connection availability.
  5. Select the "Close" button to exit this window.
