In SEE Finance payee names can be used as regular payee names shown in lists of payee names or they can be "Hidden" payees for one time use. In the main "Payees" list you can choose to "Show Hidden Payees" and you can change hidden payees to be unhidden and vice versa. With downloading and importing transactions, payees for these transactions that are not found in the list of known payees are added as hidden payee names. If desired you can go through these payees and edit and/or merge them into other payees. For example, when downloading transactions you may have several transactions for gas stations that looks like "Gas Station #134", "Gas Station #135", "Gas Station #136", etc. You can use the merge feature to merge all these payees into one payee such as just "Gas Station" cleaning up your list of payees and transactions in a simple step.

***Note: "Hidden" one time use payees are not included as options in payee listings including reports.***
